Sustainability Innovation Challenge – Report

The Sahayadri Nature Club of Saintgits College of Engineering organized a Sustainability Innovation Challenge, an idea submission competition aimed at encouraging students to develop innovative and eco-friendly solutions to real-world problems.Participants were invited to identify unique environmental or sustainability-related issues and propose creative solutions. The competition focused on areas such as waste management, renewable energy, plastic alternatives, eco-technology, sustainable fashion, and green campus initiatives.The event received several promising ideas, out of which a few were shortlisted for the final round. The finalists included Afra Sakeer (CSE), Chesna Ann Mathew (RB), Anvi Elsa Vijo (ECS), and Sneha Chandran (CH).The final round was conducted online on 20 January 2026 at 7:30 PM, where the shortlisted participants presented their ideas in a 5-minute presentation.
