he Sahyadri Nature Club of Saintgits College of Engineering (Autonomous)
organized a webinar on the topic “What can students do for Animal Welfare
Promotion in Kerala?” on 8th December 2025 at 3:00 PM. The session
featured noted environmentalist and animal rights advocate Maneka
Sanjay Gandhi as the guest speaker. The event began with a warm and
graceful welcome speech delivered by Sreedevi, who set the tone for the
session by highlighting the relevance of animal welfare in today’s world.
This was followed by a serene and soulful prayer song by Akshaya, which
created an inspiring atmosphere and marked the formal beginning of the
webinar.
The goal of the webinar was to help students understand the importance of
animal welfare, recognize their responsibility as youth, and equip them with
practical steps they can take within their campuses and communities.
