GREEN Project Competition

**Sustainability Innovation Challenge – The Sahyadri Nature Club of Saintgits College of Engineering organized the Sustainability Innovation Challenge on 20 January 2026 at 7:30 PM in online mode, with the objective of encouraging students to develop innovative and eco-friendly solutions to real-world environmental problems across areas such as waste management, renewable energy, plastic alternatives, eco-technology, sustainable fashion, and green campus initiatives. After receiving several promising entries, four participants were shortlisted for the final round: Afra Sakeer (CSE), Chesna Ann Mathew (RB), Anvi Elsa Vijo (ECS), and Sneha Chandran (CH), who presented their ideas in 5-minute presentations evaluated on innovation, feasibility, and sustainability impact. Chesna Ann Mathew (RB) secured the First Prize of ₹750 and Anvi Elsa Vijo (ECS) won the Second Prize of ₹250. The event successfully promoted awareness and active participation in sustainable development among students by providing a platform for young innovators to contribute meaningful ideas towards environmental conservation.
